Customize Night Owl Protect to match your preferences and requirements.

## Account Settings

### Profile Management

1. Go to **Settings** → **Account** → **Profile**
2. Manage:
   - Display name
   - Email address
   - Phone number
   - Profile photo

### Change Password

1. Go to **Settings** → **Account** → **Security**
2. Tap **Change Password**
3. Enter current password
4. Create new password
5. Confirm new password

### 2-Step Verification

Enhance security with additional authentication:

1. Go to **Settings** → **Account** → **Security**
2. Tap **2-Step Verification**
3. Choose method:
   - **Authenticator App** (most secure)
   - **SMS**
   - **Email**
4. Complete setup verification

## Device Settings

### Camera Settings

For each camera, configure:

| Setting | Description |
|---------|-------------|
| Name | Custom name for the camera |
| Location | Room or area assignment |
| Video Quality | Resolution and frame rate |
| Night Vision | Auto/On/Off/Color |
| Audio | Enable/disable microphone |
| Status LED | Show/hide indicator light |
| Timestamp | Display date/time overlay |

### Recording Settings

- **Recording Mode**: Continuous, Motion, Scheduled
- **Pre-record Buffer**: 5-30 seconds
- **Post-record Time**: 10-60 seconds
- **Video Codec**: H.264/H.265

### Image Settings

Fine-tune video appearance:

- **Brightness**: -100 to +100
- **Contrast**: -100 to +100
- **Saturation**: -100 to +100
- **Sharpness**: 0 to 100
- **WDR**: Off/Low/Medium/High
- **Image Rotation**: 0°/90°/180°/270°

## Notification Settings

### Push Notifications

- Enable/disable all notifications
- Sound selection
- Vibration pattern
- Banner style (iOS)
- Channel settings (Android)

### Email Notifications

- Daily summary email
- Alert emails with snapshots
- Weekly activity report
- System status alerts

### Notification Schedule

## Display Settings

### Theme

- **Light Mode** - Bright interface
- **Dark Mode** - Easy on eyes at night
- **Auto** - Follow system setting
- **Scheduled** - Dark mode at night

### Video Display

- Default video quality
- Auto-play live view
- Show camera names
- Grid layout preference

### Accessibility

- High contrast mode
- Larger text
- Screen reader support
- Reduce motion

## Storage Settings

### Cloud Storage

1. Go to **Settings** → **Storage** → **Cloud**
2. View current plan
3. Check usage statistics
4. Upgrade/downgrade plan

### Local Storage

- View NVR/DVR disk usage
- Format storage device
- Configure overwrite settings
- Export backup

### App Storage

- Clear cache
- Download location
- Auto-delete old clips
- Storage limit for clips

## Network Settings

### Streaming

- **Adaptive Bitrate**: Auto-adjusts quality
- **Stream Protocol**: Auto/TCP/UDP
- **Buffer Size**: Low/Medium/High
- **Hardware Decoding**: On/Off

### Connection

- Enable/disable mobile data
- WiFi-only mode
- Automatic reconnection
- Connection timeout

### P2P Settings

- Enable P2P connection
- Fallback to relay
- Port configuration

## Privacy Settings

### Sharing

- **Share Access**: Invite family members
- **Permission Levels**: Admin/User/Viewer
- **Remove Users**: Revoke access

### Data & Privacy

- Camera privacy mode
- Audio recording consent
- Location history
- Usage analytics

### Export Data

1. Go to **Settings** → **Privacy** → **Export Data**
2. Request data export
3. Receive email with download link

### Delete Account

1. Go to **Settings** → **Account** → **Delete Account**
2. Enter password to confirm
3. Select reason (optional)
4. Confirm deletion
